What Is The Difference Between Oral Conscious And IV Sedation For Dental Implants?
Generally speaking, most comprehensive dental implant centers will offer non-IV as well as IV sedation (typically administered by a board certified Anesthesiologist).
With non-IV oral conscious sedation, the patient remains aware of his or her personal surroundings, and conditions but without experiencing any significant discomfort or anxiety. With IV sedation, the patient is completely unaware of his or personal surroundings, and can awaken to return home with a beautiful smile.
